Material describing an investment opportunity should include the following information:

  1. What makes your product or service unique in the marketplace?
    • Why do your customers buy it?
  2. How do these product or service attributes compare to the competition?
  3. What makes your product or service offering sustainable?
  4. What is the size and growth rate of your target market?
  5. What is your share of the market?
  6. What is the composition of your customer base?
  7. How do you access and attract your customers?
  8. Do you operate in a regulated industry?
    • If so, please describe the environment and your associated regulatory status
  9. Is the company reliant on a few large customers, suppliers, or commodity prices?
    • If so, describe factors that mitigate these potential risks
  10. How do you plan to grow?
  11. Who are the key members of management?
    • Provide specific examples of prior successes
  12. Three years of audited or reviewed historical financials (Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow)
  13. Three years of forecast financial results with related assumptions
  14. Ownership summary
Investment Process

Our investment process typically involves the following steps:

  1. Sign confidentiality agreement
  2. Preliminary information exchange
  3. Preliminary indication of terms
  4. Further business due diligence
  5. Detailed Letter of Intent or Term Sheet
  6. Signoff by company
  7. Final/confirmatory business due diligence, legal and accounting due diligence and legal documentation
  8. Closing

Assuming the smooth flow of information, an investment can close within 3-6 months.
